Muncy Point
Muncy Point
We purchased the northern tip of Muncy Point in early August, ensuring its aesthetic and recreational values are protected for us and future generations. It's northern tip is just west of nearby Dri-Ki Point. The two are separated by a long narrow cove having no official name. (Woodie called it Pickerel Cove due to its shape, so many guides still use that term.)
Muncy Point is over a mile and a quarter in overall length. WWLT was instrumental in conserving the rest of it via two separate projects years ago. This area can only be viewed from the water or air. Spectacular shorelands are conserved in every direction. There are no roads for miles. The property itself is little more than an acre in size, with significant lake frontage. With all abutting lands conserved, it was the remaining piece of the puzzle.
We urge you to visit Muncy and Dri-Ki Points. It is a truly spectacular experience, just getting there by boat or canoe. Look around. Vast expanses of natural, rockbound shorelines, uncorrupted by human development, will surround you. Such natural splendor is rare nowadays in the eastern U.S.
