Booming Out Grounds
This old growth forest property features four miles of shorefront on Spednic Lake, Mud Lake and Mud Lake Stream. It also features Mud Lake Falls and two Native American portages connecting Mud Lake to Spednic Lake. The property is open to the public and owned by the State of Maine & managed by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IF&W).
Conservation Purpose
IF&W manages these lands as the Booming Grounds Wildlife Management Area.
